Vacheron Constantin’s 2022 novelties showcase how well the Swiss Manufacture marries an illustrious watchmaking heritage with contemporary tastes
Once again, Vacheron Constantin shows us the beauty that lies in the details. The maison’s two centuries-old watchmaking legacy is characterised by a meticulous attention to detail that doesn’t lose sight of the changing tides of time. True to this ethos is Vacheron Constantin’s new novelties at Watches & Wonders 2022.
The Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin houses an inhouse calibre 1120 QP that measures just 4.05 mm thick. Available in white gold and pink gold versions, the perpetual calendar boasts a dial of blue-grey tinted mother-of-pearl for the white gold model and white mother-of-pearl for the pink gold model. A first for the collection, the watch features an alligator leather strap that’s interchangeable at the touch of a push-button. Meanwhile, the Patrimony selfwinding boasts four new references that build on the Patrimony collection’s classic minimalism with subtle modifications, available in options of white or pink gold too. The new models come with either a bezel set with 72 roundcut diamonds lighting up the minute track or with the minute track itself adorned with 48 roundcut diamonds, the latter being a complex feat in gem-setting. The limited edition Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is another noteworthy release, bearing a salmon-coloured dial with immaculate detailing. The new model is powered by an inhouse manual-winding calibre 1142 QP, one of the most highly prized historical calibres for collectors. The maison’s Overseas collection welcomes its first all-titanium tourbillon skeleton watch, along with a new interpretation of the Overseas ultra-thin perpetual calendar model.
In line with its ‘Anatomy of Beauty’ theme for 2022, Vacheron Constantin continues timeless traditions of craftsmanship that unite technical expertise with aesthetic creativity.
