Cou­ture Meets Streetwear: CHRISTELLE KOCHER OF KOCHÉ

Known for her eclec­tic mix of re­fined ur­ban streetwear fin­ished with haute cou­ture tech­niques, Christelle Kocher of French la­bel Koché is one to watch. The 2016 LVMH Prize fi­nal­ist and 2019 ANDAM prize win­ner worked for nu­mer­ous es­tab­lished brands such as Gior­gio Ar­mani, Chloé and Bot­tega Veneta be­fore start­ing her own la­bel in 2014. Her unique blend of cou­ture and sportswear comes as no sur­prise. Christelle Kocher also works as an artis­tic di­rec­tor at Mai­son Le­marié (a Métiers d’Art feather and flo­ral em­broi­dery house owned by Chanel sub­sidiary Paraf­fec­tion) and has been known to in­clude works from Le­marié and other tra­di­tional Paris Maisons such as Lesage (em­broi­deries) and Mon­tex (em­bel­lish­ments) into her own de­signs.
