Couture Meets Streetwear: CHRISTELLE KOCHER OF KOCHÉ
Known for her eclectic mix of refined urban streetwear finished with haute couture techniques, Christelle Kocher of French label Koché is one to watch. The 2016 LVMH Prize finalist and 2019 ANDAM prize winner worked for numerous established brands such as Giorgio Armani, Chloé and Bottega Veneta before starting her own label in 2014. Her unique blend of couture and sportswear comes as no surprise. Christelle Kocher also works as an artistic director at Maison Lemarié (a Métiers d’Art feather and floral embroidery house owned by Chanel subsidiary Paraffection) and has been known to include works from Lemarié and other traditional Paris Maisons such as Lesage (embroideries) and Montex (embellishments) into her own designs.
