ONE WORLD

Marie Claire (Malaysia) - - Chief Notes - Azza Arif EDITOR azzaarif@bluinc.com.my @azzaarifk

For the past couple of months, like so many of you, I have been adjusting to the changes to my daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic from the comfort of my home— brainstorming ideas with my colleagues through Zoom meetings, chatting virtually with my loved ones, and finding escapism through Netflix and a handful of my favourite novels. And whilst we all are safely confined in our homes, the real-life heroes are out there, doing their best to keep us safe and flatten the curve. These are our frontliners—the health workers, police officers, the military and emergency-response personnel, grocery store employees, the delivery men and women, and others whose essential jobs we depend on. And we too, must to do our part to protect those who are most vulnerable to it. Stay at home, cook something fun, spend time with your family, and above all, practise social distancing—just like our cover star, music royalty, Yuna.

In our special issue, Yuna invites us into her personal space, her abode of peace, her home, in this exclusive cover story, taken through the lens of her husband, Adam Sinclair. During the MCO (Movement Control Order), she spent her time working on her music, teaching mini classes (read more about it in our cover story), connecting with her fans, and above all, spending quality time with her family. And that is exactly what we urge you all to do—stay at home and enjoy some quality time, what ever that may be. Try our some of our fashion, beauty and lifestyle hacks from this issue, and take time to look into your physical, emotional and mental health. We are all in this together—one world.
