Frog makeover from ERL, YTL
NEW LOOK: Special classroom for students with special needs
EXPRESS Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) and YTL Foundation have taken on another Frog Classroom Makeover project, which was first initiated by the latter in 2014.
SMK Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang was selected to receive the makeover transformation.
The project catered to students with special needs and learning disabilities.
Second Deputy Education Minister Chong Sin Woon said the Frog Classroom Makeover would provide the students with the much needed space.
He said the “revamped” classroom would also complement the use of the Frog virtual learning environment (VLE), an online teaching and learning platform under the 1BestariNet project.
“Teachers and students using the Frog classroom will have an enhanced experience that will stimulate their minds and boost their spirits during lessons.
“Students will also be able to enjoy a greater personalised education process through the use of information and communications technology,” said Chong.

ERL chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor said the classroom would provide a conducive, fun and interactive learning environment for teachers and students to achieve more through collaborative learning.
“The classroom comes with ramps for wheelchair access and positive messages on the soft board to encourage and remind students that they are capable of great things.
“There are yoga mats and a gym ball to allow students to take a break and exercise. A mini foosball table is added to encourage the students to enhance their motor skills while having fun in the classroom,” she said.
