NATIONWIDE EFFORT: Malaysian Youth Council hopes to collect RM40,000
THE Malaysian Youth Council has started a campaign to collect funds for the Warriors Fund.
Council secretary-general Ahmad Saparudin Yusup said the campaign’s aim was to promote awareness among youths in the hope that they would contribute to the fund.
“The Warriors Fund campaign with the tagline, ‘Hulur Sikit Bro!’ is aimed at raising money for the fund which has been in existence for 66 years. We will be collecting donations until the end of January. This will be carried out at programmes comprising sporting events and carnivals around the country.”
He said the council’s goal was to collect up to RM40,000.

The art exhibition was officiated by National Visual Arts Development Board director-general Professor Datuk Dr Mohamed Najib Ahmad Dawa, who encouraged all 20,000 participants for all the events which will take place in the next eight weeks,” he said at the launch of the fund at Proton City Sports Complex here yesterday.
National football legend Azman Adnan, who was present, said the campaign would help the younger generation appreciate veterans’ contributions artists to register with the board.
The exhibition runs from Nov 21 to Dec 30 from 10am to 6pm. The gallery is open on weekends by appointment only for private viewing.

“We can engage the youths to get to know veteran warriors better by inviting them to come to the carnival as well,” he said.
