THE BIG GREEN
The largest agriculture and agro-based industrial exhibition returns with four new attractions, writes Elaine Yim
of the different DIY equipment such as self-irrigation, fertigation, hydroponic systems for growing plants. This way, we could learn how to organically grow herbs and vegetables in our small apartment balconies and indoor spaces.
Visitors will get to learn about the different breeds of livestock such as fish, fowl and cattle, and see how they are reared as farm animals. They will also be able to see how these animals look like from babies to adulthood. Children will have a thrilling time touching little chicks or ducklings, and learning how a billy goat (male), nanny goat (female) and kid (baby goat) look like. Many adults too may not have seen all the different types of live sea creatures that end up on our dinner table.
In addition to the above, there will be 14 state pavilions showcasing each of the different states’ unique architectural designs, culture, ethnic food and natural produce.
The outdoor section will be most interesting part for the whole family, young and old.
