Top keglers set for Penang tourney
Penang Tenpin Bowling Association president State Sports Council director THE Penang Pesta International Bowling Championship is set to attract a classy field yet again with top Asian keglers set to compete.
Penang Tenpin Bowling Association (PTBA) president Datuk Seri Farizan Darus said the [44th edition of the tournament will be held at the Mega Bowling Centre, MegaMall Pinang in Prai starting Dec 7.
The nine-day event, which carries a total cash prize of RM100,000, will

“In line with our association’s objective of promoting the sport, the organising committee has introduced a new category — Men’s Graded ‘B’ for rising bowlers to experience the competitive atmosphere.
“We are also offering RM1,000 cash for every perfect game in the 12 finals. The incentive is to motivate the players to perform batter. The cash award will be given alternatively by Mega Bowling Centre and PTBA,” Farizan told the media during a sponsorship presentation at his office in Komtar recently.
PTBA secretary Cheah Ban Cheng said keen rivalry is expected in the Boys’ Under-16 category where
