CHOW Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean are hoping to make their presence felt by being more consistent next year.

The women’s doubles feel they could have done better despite winning a title this year at the Malaysia International Challenge last month.

Yesterday, the World No 31 upset third seeds Della Destiara HarisRosyita Eka Putri Sari of Indonesia 12-21, 21-18, 21-19 to reach the Macau Open quarter-finals.

“To be honest, I am not really satisfied with out performance this year.

“There is no issue with our partnership, I am actually very happy to play with Mei Kuan.

“I just feel we could be more consistent. It’s okay, we will try harder next year. At least we won a title,” said Meng Yean when contacted.

The duo, who also reached the final of the Polish Open in March, will play Taiwan’s Hsu Ya ching-Wu Ti Jung today.

Second seeds Vivian Hoo Kah Mun-Woon Khe Wei also checked into the quarter-finals with a 21-14, 21-14 win over Chen Hsiao HuanHuang Mei Ching of Taiwan.

The pair will play the winner of the match between Wen Hao Yun-Ye Jing Ya of Taiwan and Macau's Gong Xue Xin-Ng Weng Chi next.

In women’s singles, Goh Jin Wei was barely troubled as Indonesia’s Rusydina Antardayu Riodingin retired after trailing 21-10, 11-1.

Jin Wei will play sixth seed Chen Yufei of China nex.

It was the end of the road, however, for fifth seed Tee Jing Yi who crashed out in the second round after going down 21-17, 21-19 to China’s Chen Xiaoxin.

Men’s doubles Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi were also bundled out, losing 25-23, 21-17 to fifth seeds Lu KaiZhang Nan of China.
