Annuar’s decision to pull out of the race paves the way for Tunku Ismail to be elected unopposed at the FAM Congress today.
The other candidates — Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin and FAM Integrity Committee chairman Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat — had withdrawn from the contest much earlier.
Annuar is also the adviser to the Kelantan Football Association and former deputy FAM president.
Tunku Ismail is the owner of the Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club and former Johor Football Association president.
