A date with radiance
Indulge me-time with the ultimate brightening facial experience using the new
Shiseido White Lucent range.
The precursor to the facial treatment was a back massage. My beauty therapist Agnes’ firm yet soothing massage strokes were a blessing to my stiff shoulders, worn out from long hours at the computer. Just a few minutes into it my eyes already started feeling heavy.
Her technique was on point and the pressure was just right that when she pulled her fingers away, I could almost hear my shoulders softly whispering a la Oliver Twist: “please,
ma’am, I want some more.”
ON TO THE FACE
Alas, we had to move on with the facial treatment. The first step of the treatment is cleansing. Using the Brightening Cleansing Foam, Agnes cleansed my face and removed impurities from it. Subsequently, the Luminising Infuser is applied to soften the skin and prep it for the next step. It is used with an ion device for better penetration of the product.
Agnes then lathered a good amount of the brand’s star product Shiseido Ultimune, followed by the MicroTargeting Spot Corrector to brighten concerned areas and bring out the radiance from within.
My favourite part? It has got to be the time when I get to put on the mask (well,
technically, Agnes did the work but you know what I mean).
The award-winning sheet mask, the Power Brightening Mask, was meant to help moisturise and provide further brightening benefits to the skin evenly.
With its cool tantalising feel, the mask was an invigorating take. Even then, its freshness could not stop me from slowly nodding off. The combination of the cabin’s dim lights, perfect temperature and the melodic lulling sound of waves, in the background, was certainly an ideal recipe for slumber.
Time flies when you are having fun. And for me, 20 minutes dissipated into thin air just like that. Agnes gently woke me up to peel the mask and I have never felt more rejuvenated than this. What a blissful stress-reliever, this was!
MASSAGE CREAM
Next steps included using the Brightening Massage Cream to enhance the face and the neck’s blood circulation to boost skin’s potential to absorb at its maximum level, followed by the application of the Luminising Surge as a protective veil that protects skin while infusing it with intensive ingredients.

The treatment left my face feeling deeply moisturised and energised. Glancing at the mirror, I could see that my skin was beaming with radiance, once again.
