Missing paraglider reunites with family after rescue

KUALA KUBU BARU: A 53-yearold paraglider has been reunited with his family more than 24 hours after his disappeara­nce at Bukit Batu Pahat here on Sunday.

Mohamad Rosely Azli was found at 3.40pm after he was believed to have spread his parachute on the ground, enabling the search-and-rescue (SAR) team to locate him.

He was found during the SAR team’s second attempt to locate him yesterday.

A police air wing unit on the AS355 helicopter, which was part of the SAR operation, resumed its search at 3.20pm to locate the victim.

Less than 10 minutes later, screams were heard on the ground from the SAR team, saying that “he has been found”.
