preaching about meritocracy but they do not apply it. Lim says MCA and MIC kowtow to Umno, but he seems to be kowtowing to PKR,” Ti told the New Straits Times yesterday.

He said despite DAP having the most seats in Parliament among the opposition parties and Lim being the most experienced leader in Pakatan, DAP had twice given up the opposition leader’s post to PKR.

“Lim has been the most vocal politician over the years. Why should he surrender to someone like Dr Wan Azizah?” he said, adding that Dr Wan Azizah had not shown any political leadership other than being a political proxy.

Ti said there were signs of nepotism and cronyism in Pakatan, which prevented the pact from becoming an effective opposition front.

“Lim had once called on MCA, MIC and Umno to stop communal politics, but now, he has made a U-turn by embracing a communal party like Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, whose policies will create further rift.”

Ti said this in response to a statement by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan, who had called on Lim to take up the prime minister’s post should Pakatan come to power.

DAP has the most number of representatives in Parliament with 37 members of parliament, followed by PKR, Parti Amanah Negara and PPBM.
