Boot camp boost for Adam and Ayumu

-

FRESH off boot camp in Texas with former MotoGP rider Colin Edwards, SIC Racing Team riders Adam Norrodin and teammate Ayumu Sasaki are ready for this weekend’s third round at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.

Last season, Adam suffered a huge let down on the same circuit as he failed to finish the race to collect a DNF.

After finishing in 17th in Qatar, the 18-year old will try to better his performance and aims for a top 10 finishing.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this year.”

“I’m happy with the bike setup that we have but we sure have to make some changes as it’s very difficult compared to Qatar and Argentina,” he said,

Overall, Adam is now 15th with six points while Ayumu in 17th with five points.

Meanwhile, Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin will not let the long travelling time affect his performance in Austin.

Finishing tenth in Qatar has given Hafizh renewed hope as the third leg of the race is a make or break situation after having only collected six points from two races at 16th overall.

“I did extra work to prepare for the race weekend and basically ready to take up the challenge.

“Last year was a bit tough as we struggled with the setup but I want to make things right as early as the first session and improve from there,” he said,

Last season, Hafizh finished sixth on raceday.

The 5.5-kilometre Circuit of the Americas was the first circuit in the United States built for the purpose of Formula One and with a counter-clockwise driving direction plus a unique elevation change of 41-metres, the circuit has one of the most varied track layout on the MotoGP calendar.
