STUDENT WINS ACTOR’S DUCATI IN ‘J REVOLUSI’ CONTEST
Fifth-former and several others claim exclusive items owned by action flick’s stars. TAHIR ALHAMZAH writes
IT was worthwhile taking the 300km trip from her home in Gua Musang, Kelantan, to Kerteh, Terengganu, to watch J Revolusi during the school holidays for Nur Izzah Sabrina Azlan and her family.
The 17-year-old did not mind the journey as she wanted to see her favourite actor, Zul Ariffin, in the action flick about Malaysia’s special force unit.
To make it all the more sweeter for her, yesterday she emerged the grand-prize winner of the contest she took part in after watching the movie.
She won Zul’s RM70,000 Ducati Hypermotard bike, which was used by his character, Jay Zulkarnain, in the movie.
As part of promotions for the movie, Primeworks Studios and Infinitus Productions, the coproducer, had organised the “J Revolusi Watch and Win Exclusive Items of Zul Ariffin and Jay Zulkarnain” contest via the movie’s Instagram account between March 17 and April 2.
“When I was informed of the news, I was so excited and immediately shared it with my friends. They were equally excited,” said Nur Izzah at the prizegiving ceremony at Laser Battle in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
“I couldn’t believe that I have won Zul Ariffin’s bike.”
The fifth-former said her father would use the bike for now as she did not have a licence.
Infinitus Productions Sdn Bhd marketing manager Jeannie Lim gave away the prizes.
Other winners included Norasyikin Anaz, who won Zul Ariffin’s blue lounge suit, Mohamad Kamal Razaman Zainal’s checkered shirt, Muhammad Shafiq Ishak’s shoes and Norazida Ibrahim’s watch.
J Revolusi, screened for seven weeks in the local cinemas, collected more than RM7.2 million.
