FORCED TO WALK TO CLINIC

-

PATIENTS seeking treatment at the newly opened Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic in Jalan Fletcher, Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur are facing difficulties getting public transport to the facility.

Pensioner Sulaiman said that although the nearest bus stop was within walking distance, getting to the clinic was a headache, particularly for an elderly man like him.

“The bus stop is about 400m away from the clinic, but not every bus serves the route.

“Furthermore, the clinic is not easily accessible via light rail transit or monorail, unlike when it was in Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

“Then, many of us would stop at the Chow Kit (monorail) station and walk a short way to the outpatient clinic.

“I hope KL City Hall as the local authority will look into addressing the matter immediately.

“It would be good if Rapid KL buses could serve the area.”
