-

KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (MRM), an agency under the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry, has recognised the Perodua Bezza as the best car under the “Public Areas and Transport Products” category for 2016.

In a statement, Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said the recognition was a testament to the hard work put in to produce a truly Malaysian vehicle with global standards.

The Perodua Bezza was also awarded the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Car of the Year and the 2017 Frost and Sullivan 2017 Malaysia Debut Car of the Year awards recently.

“These endorsements will help us to further improve ourselves and our capabilities to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Aminar.

MRM presented its “Malaysia Good Design Mark” award to Perodua at the Malaysia Good Design Mark Award Ceremony on April 18.

The Perodua Bezza’s upper body is the first fully designed car by Perodua and is the national car company’s first sedan with Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) status.

The Bezza was launched on July 21 last year and is the best selling sedan for the first quarter of the year, with over 15,900 units sold. Bernama
