10,000 mangrove saplings planted in Gelang Patah

The project, a collaborat­ion between Forest City and Lions Internatio­nal Club, is aimed at offering sustainabl­e developmen­t to the property industry.

Forest City Landscape Department director Dr Qiu Lipeng said it would continue to conduct research on the protection of the mangrove habitat.

“My team is working hard on this project despite facing obstacles to ensure its success.”

Country Garden Pacificvie­w Sdn Bhd (CGPV) is tapped to pain killers and had difficulty breathing.

Those who wish to donate may send cheques made payable to the Media Prima-NSTP Humanitari­an Fund, with the patient’s name written on the reverse-side of the cheque and addressed to: oversee the project where the saplings are planted at a nearby 320,000 sq m nursery.

Its executive director, Datuk Md Othman Yusof, said CGPV strived to ensure that the project fulfilled local environmen­tal compliance­s.

“We will continue to adopt internatio­nally recognised and accepted best practices to minimise and mitigate environmen­tal impact in Forest City.”

Forest City also presented a sponsorshi­p of RM30,000 to Lions Internatio­nal Club for the latter’s mangrove conservati­on efforts.
