Arsenal supporters make their voices heard

LONDON: Arsenal supporters attempted to put further pressure on manager Arsene Wenger on Friday as they projected their message of ‘Wenger Out’ throughout London.

Images of a section of fans’ protestations surfaced on Twitter ahead of today’s north London derby away at Tottenham.

‘Wenger Out’ was projected on to the side of former ground Highbury as well as the club’s current home at the Emirates.

The message also appeared to have been beamed on to west London landmark Marble Arch.

It was the latest attempt of a frustrated section of supporters who want Wenger to leave the club at the end of the season after over 20 years in charge.

Twitter account @NoNewContract tweeted images of the projections.

Wenger’s contract expires at the end of the season but he is yet to decide what he will do next.

Despite the Gunners recently making it through to the FA Cup final after coming from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1, there remains a number of fans not happy with Wenger’s leadership.

A banner trailing the message ‘No New Contract #WengerOut’ was flown over The Hawthorns during Arsenal’s 3-1 loss at West Brom last month.

The latest attempt to get their voices heard isn’t expected to be the last. More protests are believed to be planned before the end of the season. Daily Mail
