MEDIA Prima Television Networks (MPTN) bagged top awards at the World Media Festival in Hamburg, Germany, on May 10.

It won three intermedia-globe Gold awards for its “#cantiknyaMalaysia Promo” for the Documentaries category.

In conjunction with last year’s Merdeka Day, a promo was crafted for a social media contest, in which the best photos of Malaysia with the best captions were selected as winners.

Its “Happy Deepavali Promo” also won a Gold award in the Documentaries category, while its “Tabung Bersamamu” documentary won Gold in the News category.

MPTN also won three Silver awards.

The first was for the Sales Promotions (Events) category with its “Anugerah Juara Lagu 31” event, which is Malaysia’s largest annual music competition, organised by TV3.

For the Sales Promotion (Station I.D., Trailers) category, MPTN took home Silver for “Jom Singgah”, a 30-minute programme on TV3, featuring the latest products in the market.

Lastly, it won Silver in the Web (Virals) category with “Parodi Anugerah Melodi”.

It is a parody digital content targeted at millennial and younger viewers to generate awareness about “Anugerah Melodi”, a local awards entertainment show.

This year, the competition attracted entries from more than 32 countries including Singapore, Qatar, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.

MPTN chief executive officer Datuk Kamal Khalid said the awards were a testament to the hard work and dedication of MPTN staff.

“Especially the Creative Services Department, Client Service Group and Consumer Communications Group, which continuously push the limits of their creativity,” he said in a statement.
