SOME are lucky enough to have found “the one” in the early stages of their relationship. Such is the case for actress Izara Aishah who shared that she is confident her long-time beau, Muhammad Adib Khalid (stepson of Datuk Siti Nurhaliza), is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with after a few months of dating. Luckily for her, the feeling is mutual. “We were a few months into our relationship when there was already talk about marriage. Somehow, it just felt right,” she said with a smile.

Ever since the duo became romantically involved in 2014, fans constantly wondered when the lovebirds will eventually tie the knot.

Izara often shies away when posed with questions on wedding matters.

Even on her personal social media accounts, the actress rarely shares updates on her love life.

She prefers to treasure those special moments and keep them private.

Even when Adib announced to the media, some two months ago, about their upcoming nuptials this year, Izara still kept mum on the matter.

It was only recently that the actress happily shared with the that their wedding plans were proceeding smoothly.

“I can’t give out details, such as the date and venue yet, but so far, everything is going according to plan,” she said.

On her dream wedding, she said: “Ideally, I would love to be wedded in a simple

ceremony. But we’ll see how it

goes.”

MOTHER’S CHOICE

Izara shared that her mother used to warn her not to marry at a young age.

The actress, who will turn 25 in September and is the eldest of three siblings, was advised to only tie the knot at 30.

“My mother is a little strict. I was never allowed to go on a holiday with friends, let alone tell her I wanted to get married!

“But upon meeting Adib for the first time, she seemed to have a change of heart.

“He must’ve charmed her with his loveable character because after they met, she asked me about a possible wedding happening soon,” said Izara with a laugh.

Izara’s family members and close friends were also delighted to hear the good news.

When asked if the bride-to-be is ready to embark on this new chapter in her life, she said: “Of course! I’m more than ready to bid goodbye to my status as a single woman and take on wifely duties.”

The qualities she adores most about Adib?

“He’s very much a gentleman. He’s very loving and he’s a great leader,” she gushed. LUSCIOUS LIPS FOR ALL

While acting and the performing arts will always be her passion, Izara shared that there is one more thing on her mind: Her cosmetics venture, Madame Izara.

She joins the bandwagon of local celebrity entrepreneurs who have their own fashion line or manage a food and beverage business.

The idea of Madame Izara stemmed from her love for makeup. The brand offers a range of liquid lipsticks in three soft-feminine colours, named Luth, Harith and Noah.

“Two years ago I was toying with the idea to start my own make-up line while trying on liquid lipsticks.

“I found that none of the products were to my liking. It was either too dry, or too moist, which made it uncomfortable to wear. Adib’s brother Muhammad Asyraf suggested that I start my own makeup line,” said Izara.

She added that she might expand the product lineup to include eyeshadow for example.

“I now understand the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when it comes to starting a business.

“All these years, I’ve always seen myself as an actress only but now I’m also a business woman, and I’m very proud of my product.”

She will be releasing a series of webisodes on the making of the liquid lipsticks.

The first episode will premiere on July 1.
