KUALA LUMPUR

THE recent front-page expose by Berita Harian on July 17 that at least 47 apartments and condominiums in the country are on high fire risk is something that every involved party should take seriously.

According to the report, the Fire and Rescue Department noted that about 10 per cent of 2,904 fire incidents from January to June this year involved high-rise residential units.

With about 5,000 incidents occurred yearly in Malaysia, more than half of which involved residential units, it is crucial that every dweller or owner knows the basic of fire protection and safety management.

So, come and listen to Faiket Luari, the engagement director of The Giving Bank, at The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd’s MyRumah Property Showcase at Aman Central Mall in Alor Star, Kedah, which starts today until Sunday.

The Giving Bank is a non-profit organisation specialising in online fundraising platform.

With 17 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, market research, training and consultation, Faiket will elaborate on how to prevent loss of lives and damage to properties.

The event, which is open from 10am to 10pm, will display a wide range of units built by renowned developers in northern areas.

A total of 30 speakers and real estate experts will give talks and take part in forums on Malaysia’s real estate market, its future outlook for this year, and valuable tips and strategies for investment and tenancy, among others.
