Netflix to stream 5 local titles

MALAYSIANS can now enjoy their favourite local films and series from Primeworks Studios Sdn Bhd by streaming them on Netflix.

Netflix subscriber­s will be able to start streaming the first roll-out — the feature film Sejoli: Misi Mencantas Cinta (Mission: Destroy Love), starring Maya Karin and Bront Palarae.

This will be followed by the highly-rated Chinese drama series, Persona on Aug 14, while Malay feature films KL Zombi and Rembat and popular drama series Hati Perempuan will be available from Aug 21.

This partnershi­p between Netflix, the world’s leading streaming service, and Primeworks Studios helps Malaysians discover the best of local storytelli­ng through television series and feature films.

With the KL 2017 Sea Games and 60th Merdeka celebratio­ns coming up, it is a great time to celebrate Malaysia’s success on the internatio­nal platform.

Sejoli: Misi Mencantas Cinta, directed by Osman Ali, also stars Remy Ishak and Izara Aishah, and tells the story of Jo and Gina who stop at nothing to prevent their former lovers from marrying each other.

KL Zombi, directed by MJ Woo, stars Zizan Razak, Siti Saleha and Faezah Elai, is about an unlikely group of survivors battling zombies outbreak in the Klang Valley.

Rembat directed by Shamyl Othman, stars Shaheizy Sam and Aniu.

This adventure comedy flick is about two men on the run from loan sharks who team up to save everything they love.
