In line with Goodyear Malaysia’s effort to provide quality products and services, it has also introduced a Worry Free Assurance programme which covers irreparable damages caused by road hazards.
This is available across a wide range of products and consumers can enjoy the benefits of road hazard assurance for six months with eligible claims of one-toone tyre replacement at any authorised Goodyear Autocare or Servitekar.
On top of that, consumers are also given a worry-free payment option, which is a 0 per cent interest-free instalment plan for tyres under the Worry Free Assurance Programme. Details at www.goodyear.com.my/ warranty/worry-free-assurance
Ensure tyres are in optimum condition.
ROAD hazards are among some of the major issues faced by road users in Malaysia. From poorly-maintained road conditions such as potholes and wet roads to imperfections in vehicles such as tyre punctures and uneven tyre balancing — all these pose a major threat to road users every day.
It is important that every road user equips himself with sound knowledge and skills on road safety.
To create a safer environment for road users, Goodyear Malaysia recently partnered with the Road Safety Department Of Malaysia (JKJR) to organise a road safety campaign for local drivers.
The Goodyear-JKJR workshop includes tips on handling unforeseen road hazard situations as well as tips on ensuring that a vehicle and its tyres are in optimal condition.
As tyres are the only point of contact between vehicles and the road, they play a very important role when it comes to road safety. In the case of an emergency, stay calm and stop at emergency lanes. Make sure it’s safe before disembarking from your car.
Put the emergency triangle or cone at least 200m from your vehicle. Call the emergency response team if you don’t have the tools with you.
Lastly, learn to read the road and identify pitfalls in advance. This will give you the opportunity to avoid them rather than having to take lastminute evasive action.
