Paralympic champions Abdul Latif Romly and Ridzuan Puzi, who withdrew from his earlier events due to dengue, did not disappoint an adoring home crowd as they eased to victories in the men's T20 long jump and T12 200m respectively.

Teen S. Thavanesvaran won the men's T42 200m for his third gold of the games while Afiq Ali won the men's T12 200m.

Faridul Masri, Rozi Mat Hasin and Doriah Poulus were no less impressive as they powered to the men's shot put F56 and javelin F35 as well as the women's F42/F44 gold.

Malaysia finished second to Indonesia (39-28-17) in the athletics competition, falling four short of their 40 gold target.

It was, however, not enough to see the swimming squad achieve their 10-gold target. Malaysia ended the competition with nine gold, 17 silver and 10 bronze.

Malaysia swept both gold medals on offer on the final day of the bowling competition with Hairul Miran, Rizal Hassan, Suhaili Ab Hamid and Choo Kam Chan winning the mixed team B1/B2/B3 event while Abu Bakar Nyat, Amin Abd Rashid, Zahidi Lamsah and Wong Kee Son won the mixed team B8/B9/B10 gold.

The bowling squad won 11 of the 18 gold on offer but were two short of the 13 they had targeted.
