Go Auto upbeat on Haval H2 CKD
Go Automobile Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (Go Auto), the licensed manufacturer of China’s Haval vehicles in Malaysia, is aiming to sell 2,100 units of the recentlylaunched locally-assembled H2 CKD by the end of next year.
“The company is targeting sales of 2,100 H2 CKD units until 2018. The sport utility vehicle (SUV) is ready for viewing at 14 Haval showrooms nationwide,” said Go Auto executive director Datuk SM Azli Nasimuddin Kamal in a statement.
He said the H2 is on the list of Haval models to be exported to Batam, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
The front-wheel-drive SUV is fitted with a turbocharged 1.5-litre VVT engine that produces 147hp at 5,600 rpm and 210 Nm of torque to 4,500 rpm from 2,200 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Other than a new rim design and Blue colour, the H2 CKD is identical to its complete-built-up version with a keyless entry system, button start system, multifunction meter panel, steering wheel control buttons, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, audio, a video entertainment system, a six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lights, chrome grille and adjustable sunroof.
For safety features, it is equipped with six airbags (dual front, dual front side and side curtain), reverse sensors and cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electronic stability programme and front active headrest to minimise spinal injury in case of collision.
The H2 CKD has achieved the maximum five stars in China’s C-NCAP Crash Test.
Prices are fixed competitively between RM98,950 (for Comfort Auto variant) and RM101,950 (for Premium Auto), inclusive of GST, insurance and road tax. Currently, Go Auto is offering a “Buy Back Guarantee” scheme to ensure vehicle owners receive 50 per cent of resale value if they resell their H2 CKD to the company within five years.
