Village’s slow Internet service

AN Internet user is upset over the unavailabi­lity of Unifi service in Kampung Merbau Sempak, Sungai Buloh.

The complainan­t, who wanted to be known as Amzar, said he had to opt for another Telekom Malaysia (TM) broadband service instead of Unifi.

“The Streamyx service is slow. We have been calling the TM call centre to install the Unifi service in our village but the staff can only say, ‘wait’,” he said. A Telekom Malaysia call centre customer service operator said there were several areas where its Unifi service was not available.

“If the residents want the Unifi service to be available in their area, they should get a petition from at least 30 residents and also approval from the village chief for Unifi to install a Unifi port in the village,” he said.

The village chief must also take the petition to the TM centre before installati­on work can begin.
