Chemotherapy fund

BEACON Hospital has a special fund to assist cancer patients. The first programme is the CSR Radiotherapy Welfare Fund for patients who cannot afford high-tech treatments, such as the Cyberknife System which delivers non-invasive treatment for cancerous and non-cancerous tumours.

Beacon Hospital has subsidised RM8 million to date.

Next is Beacon’s CSR Chemotherapy fund for early breast cancer patients. Treatment costs can reach between RM4,000 and RM6,000. With the fund, patients only pay 10 per cent of the costs.
