LOUVRE ABU DHABI OPENS TOMORROW

The opening of the glittering Louvre Abu Dhabi museum marks the latest stage in a multi-billion-dollar ‘soft power’ showdown between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. French President Emmanuel Macron is set to attend the inauguration tomorrow on his first visit to the emirates. For the next 10 years, 13 of France’s top museums will lend their works to the UAE for two years each.
