Man now faces 588 counts of incest with 3 nieces
AMPANG: An unemployed man, who previously pleaded not guilty to 334 charges of incest, was taken to the Sessions Court here again yesterday for attempted rape and 254 charges of incest with two of his nieces.
The accused, 46, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read out to him.
The earlier charges involved his two nieces, age 6 and 10.
This brings the total number of charges against the accused to 588.
According to the charge sheets, the accused was charged with 253 charges of incest with his 17-year-old niece, which included having sexual intercourse with the victim at the Datuk Ahmad Razali flat between January 2006 and December 2013.
He was charged with attempting to rape the 10-year-old victim between January and December last year.
Deputy public prosecutor Norhashimah Hashim did not offer bail to the accused considering the number of charges.
“The accused knows where they live and if we offer him bail, there is a possibility that he will disturb the witnesses (victims),” she said.
The court did not set bail, and fixed March 13 for mention.
On Friday, the accused was taken to the Sessions Court on 334 charges of incest that included having sexual intercourse with his 13-year-old niece, who was then 5.
