Petronas Lubricants sets 4,800-barrel sales target in Kota Tinggi this year
KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Lubricants Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd aims to sell 4,800 barrels of lubricant products to commercial vehicle manufacturing companies and manufacturing industries at the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Kota Tinggi, this year.
Petronas Dagangan Bhd managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Ibrahimnudin Mohd Yunus said Petronas Lubricants had set the target following the launch of a 3,500 sq ft warehouse in a building owned by Koperasi Pemuda Patriot Pengerang Kota Tinggi Bhd (Kopetri).
He said the joint-venture project was aimed at strengthening the sales of Petronas’ lubricant products in the district, especially the Petronas Urania 3000 lu- bricating oil.
“The partnership indirectly enables Kopetri, who has been a major trading partner since July last year, to supply lubricating oils for commercial vehicle manufacturing and manufacturing industries at PIC.
“At the same time, Petronas has supplied about 400 barrels of various lubricants under the Petronas Urania 3000 brand within a month,” said Mohd Ibrahimnudin at the opening of the
Petronas Kopetri Lubricant Oil Operation and Storage Centre in Kota Tinggi yesterday.
Also present were State Public Works Committee chairman Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad, who represented Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, and Tanjung Surat state assemblyman Datuk Ir Syed Sis Syed A. Rahman.
“Kopetri was appointed as the authorised distributor and supplier for Petronas Lubricants in July last year.
“The official opening of the warehouse is to strengthen the sales of lubricants in the district and, at the same time, create more job opportunities for the population in the area,” he said. Mohd Sabran Md Sani
