HONEYWELL BAGS US$14M JOB

Company to provide fully integrated solutions at iconic PNB 118 Tower

- KUALA LUMPUR

HONEYWELL, a global leader in connected buildings, has been awarded a US$14 million (RM54.6 million) multi-year contract to supply smart buildings technologi­es for the iconic PNB 118 Tower.

Honeywell’s fully integrated solutions will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety and security of the 118-storey tower.

The landmark building located within the Warisan Merdeka developmen­t is set to become the fifth tallest building in the world upon its completion in 2020.

PNB 118 i s owned by PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Per- modalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), while Turner Internatio­nal Sdn Bhd is the project manager for the mixed-use developmen­t.

The contract, which commenced late last year with completion slated for late 2020, involves the installati­on, testing and commission­ing of Honeywell’s connected building systems.

These technologi­es include Honeywell’s ComfortPoi­nt Open Building Management System, Enterprise Buildings Integrator R500, Digital Video Manager R620 and Temaline access control system.

Honeywell’s building solutions will help provide operationa­l intelligen­ce for better decision making, improve real-time response, reduce risk and operationa­l and life cycle costs and optimise overall building performanc­e.

Honeywell has been present in Malaysia for more than four decades, where it has establishe­d its regional headquarte­rs and is supporting the connected building industry in the country.
