THE Registry of Societies (RoS) would have no problem approving the annual general meeting of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) if the party followed its own constitution.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said PPBM should not point fingers at anyone if it couldn’t follow its own constitution.

“I don’t want to speak on behalf of RoS, but it has approved the DAP re-election, which shows that they are not partisan.

“I don’t know how many formal complaints their members have lodged, so PPBM should ask their members what the problem is. Don’t point fingers at others,” Najib said after attending a meet-the-people session in Bukit Mor here.

Present were his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Muar member of parliament Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim.

Najib was responding to reports quoting PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that there was a plot behind complaints that the party had violated its own constitution.

Muhyiddin claimed that those who lodged the reports had a malicious agenda due to various factors such as not getting posts and so on.

It was reported that the RoS was investigating complaints filed by PPBM members that the party had breached its own constitution.

The RoS had received 249 complaints from PPBM members to date, with 47 out of the 249 complaints lodged centering on claims that the party had violated its constitution, as well as rules and regulations.
