Branch closed until further notice

-

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) branch in Jalan Gasing will be closed following the fire yesterday.

However, EPF assured contributors that the fire had not affected the integrity of their information, nor their savings.

EPF, in a statement yesterday, said those with dealings with EPF should go to the nearest branch, which would be the EPF headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur.

“We will keep tabs on the situation and once the (Jalan Gasing) branch is reopened, we will inform contributors.”

EPF said its Crisis Management Branch had worked with the Fire and Rescue Department to ensure that yesterday’s fire did not spread to other floors or areas.

“Considering the safety of our clients and staff is our priority, an evacuation of the building was immediately carried out and the offices and counters closed (when the fire broke out).”

Apart from dealing with the nearest branch, the statement said, contributors could also call the EPF Customer Management Centre at 03-8922 6000 or send queries via the myEPF website at http://enquiry.kwsp.gov.my.
