Shortage in 1kg cooking oil packets

A HOUSEWIFE in Kota Baru has complained of a shortage in 1kg cooking oil packets.

Rogayah Abdullah said she started facing the problem last week.

“I went to all the sundry shops and supermarke­ts in the area, but was told that the 1 kg packets were out of stock.

“Only the bottled cooking oil of various brands are available,” said the 48-year-old from Wakaf Siku.

Kelantan Domestic Trade, Cooperativ­es and Consumeris­m Ministry director-general Datuk Abdul Ghani Harun said the matter would be investigat­ed.

“I was informed that on certain days, the 1kg cooking oil packets would be out of stock due to high demand.

“I believe the traders are trying their best to replenish the stock immediatel­y.”
