THE ASEANNALE 2018 Themed Capturing the Spirit of Asean in the Digital Times
The conference brings together three events under one roof: the First Film and Multimedia Competition and Exhibition, the Second International Symposium on Asean Studies, and the Distinguished Asean Award for Higher Education.
Held at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, it will showcase select creative and research works of higher education students and faculty from the 10 Asean countries to promote the community of scholars on Asean through film and multimedia, a poster exhibition, paper presentations and an international symposium on three sub-themes: diaspora, disasters, and Democracy.

2018 TAIWAN SCHOLARSHIP AND MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (MOE) HUAYU ENRICHMENT SCHOLARSHIP Includes a scholarship for the Mandarin learner
The scholarships offered by Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan) are open for application until March 31. The number of Taiwan Scholarships available for Malaysians is 35.
The Taiwan Scholarship encourages Malaysian students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Taiwan by awarding each recipient tuition and miscellaneous expenses of NTD40,000 (RM5,400) each semester. Undergraduate students will be offered a monthly stipend of NTD15,000 and postgraduate students, NTD20,000 per month.
The MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship is offered for the Mandarin learner including the beginner to study at any accredited Mandarin Language Centre in a university or college in Taiwan. The recipient will be awarded a monthly stipend of NTD25,000. The duration of the Huayu Enrichment courses will include a summer term (June to July or July to August) or short-term classes which may last for three months to a year.
The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) Scholarship is open for application by Malaysian students until March 16. This scholarship enables students to pursue specified master’s or doctoral degree programme in partner universities of ICDF, starting from September. Scholarship benefits include roundtrip economy class airfare, accommodation, tuition fees, insurance, textbook costs and monthly allowance of NTD15,000 for master’s students and NTD17,000 for doctoral degree students.
