AT OLABOLA THE MUSICALPREMIERE
OLABOLA The Musical held a special premiere for distinguished guests, sponsors and the media at Istana Budaya recently. The play, which runs from Feb 9 to March 11, gives a new look — a high-tech one — to the local theatre industry and the region.
The theatre, directed by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, uses technology such as such as 3D projection mapping, 360-degree surround sound and state of the art lighting technology. This exemplary staging techscreens, nology is set to elevate the experience of the audience as the musical’s cast and ensemble deliver a dynamic performance.
This has enabled viewers to have the experience of being immersed in the atmosphere of Stadium Merdeka in 1980, during the exciting Olympics qualifying match, surrounded by 180 degrees of projection of visual content on massive LED digital floor mapping, animated visuals, state-of-the-art lighting and lively stadium atmosphere in 360-degree surround sound.
