Stay on target achieving your WEIGHT LOSS GOALS

SO you have tried those super quick diets, the ones that are supposed to only take a couple of weeks, and it turns out, those two weeks are too long. Here is a good way to motivate yourself to stick with the diet and get healthy again.

-

Set at target: Write down why you want to lose weight, and what your target weight is. Make a couple of copies. Stick one to your fridge, one on your exercise machine, or car keys, and one in your wallet.

Get a good diet plan and run it by your nutritionist. You will get nowhere if your diet isn’t right for your body, so make sure you don’t go and diet just because you know it is working for someone else. Everyone is different and everyone’s body is different.

Make a list of the types of foods that you must avoid at all costs: Try to memorise this, and carry it whenever you buy food.

Whenever you find yourself reaching for the food from the fridge or the grocery shop, stop and think for a moment.

Remember how bad you want to lose weight. Think carefully whether you will benefit from it, and if it will help you reach your health goals. If your mind tells you “NO!”, then stop! Don’t eat that food. Reach for something healthy, or skip it altogether. It will be hard, but in the end, it will pay off.

Choose a simple weight loss plan: Find one that is flexible with your schedule, and incorporate a degree of fun and discipline. If you are a social person and like someone else to motivate you to lose weight, then get a weight loss partner. Investing in a good weight loss programme can take the guessing out of losing weight.

If you don’t have the money, nor the time to go through one of those programmes, then look for other simpler ways to lose weight.

Find out how you can lose weight through things you do around the clock. Keep referring to why you are doing it, what your goals are, and how you plan to achieve it.

Sculpt your body with exercise and workout: There are many physical trainers who can help you achieve your weight loss goals at a price. If you don’t want that route, then look for other ways to dramatically burn excess fat at one go. They say that weight training burns more fat than cardio training.

In cardio, when metabolism is increased, the cells travel faster to remove excess fat from your body. In weight training, you burn off fat by converting them into muscle mass.

Men and women are built differently. If you are a woman, do low reps with some resistance. If you are a man, push your capabilities to achieve a plateau, and then burn excessive fat in one shot. The faster you lose weight, the faster you can reach your goals and stay motivated.

Get quick weight loss tips: Some good sources for weight loss tips are available to motivate you. The Internet has a lot of good weight loss tips. Some health sites, like Mayo Clinic, offers advice and tips in the weight loss section, and so do general information sites like About.com.

You can also get good weight loss tips and advice from smaller sites focused on dieting and fitness. Magazines and dieting books contain weight loss advice and tips. Some television shows also offer fitness and nutritional tips.
