Naza EC eyes RM2b more jobs this year

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Group, through its construction arm Naza Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (Naza EC), is looking to add jobs worth RM2 billion this year.

Naza EC joint chief operating officer Mohd Fuad Hashim said the firm had secured projects with an accumulated order book value of RM1.1 billion last year. They were for construction and infrastructure works.

This would keep Naza EC busy over the next two to three years, said Fuad.

He said the company had targeted to add the RM2 billion through road infrastructure works, irrigation works and building construction — boosting its order book value to RM3 billion.

Fuad believed the goal was achievable as the company would tap into the government’s efforts to boost the construction sector this year through projects such as government housing, East Coast Rail Link, Mass Rail Transit 2, High Speed Rail and other infrastructure works.

Naza EC was established in 2010 to complement the business of Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, the property arm of the Naza Group.

Naza EC had secured projects with an accumulated order book value of RM1.1 billion last year.
