4 more arrested in PNB fraud scandal


MUMBAI: India’s police have made four more arrests in the US$2 billion (RM7.86 billion) fraud case involving state lender Punjab National Bank (PNB). More than a dozen people have been arrested by India’s Central Bureau of Investigat­ions (CBI) since the fraud at PNB came to light in January. The CBI said it had arrested Manish Bosamiya and Miten Pandya, both exemployee­s of Firestar Internatio­nal. An auditor, Sampat Rambhia, was also arrested, as was Aniyath Shiv Raman, a former director of M/s Gili India.
