QUEST Internatio­nal University Perak (QIUP) is a dynamic university with equity participat­ion from the Perak government. Conceptual­ised to nurture Gen Y to become inquisitiv­e, sociallyaw­are and impactful individual­s, QIUP has deployed the best intellectu­al minds.

At the heart of it all is a noble quest to provide the best education to all levels of society, one that does not burden parents.

QIUP’s Foundation programmes are a great way for students to develop practical and academic skills to help them embark on their journey towards higher education.

The Foundation in Business, Science and Arts programmes have a practical focus with a range of hands-on-experience, where students will gain confidence, skills and knowledge to help them participat­e effectivel­y in tertiary study. Engineerin­g and Design Exhibition (SEDEX 40), organised and held at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP).

Their project, “Intelligen­t Parking System”, bagged the Gold Medal in the Open Innovation Challenge category, Most Innovative Award and Best Poster Award.

Not to be outdone, the debating team clinched podium finishes in three categories at the 2017 National English Olympics (NEO17) competitio­n at UTP.

At the same event, student Sahibzada Mubashir Noor was crowned champion for the storytelli­ng competitio­n, among other wins by QIUP students.

QIUP was crowned first runner-up in the overall institutio­nal championsh­ip. It was indeed a momentous day for QIUP at NEO17 with so many wins.

Besides academic competitio­ns, students are also active in sports competitio­ns.

Chathura Mihiruk, who is a student at QIUP, bagged the Player of the Tournament award at the recent Perak Super League 2017 (National Inter Club Qualifier) cricket tournament, where the team finished fourth overall.

QIUP believes taking part in competitio­ns will help students develop leadership skills.
