Clarification

KUALA LUMPUR: XOX Bhd has clarified that the company is only exploring the opportunity to collaborate with MasterCard to facilitate ways and means to bring payment efficiency to its customers.

The company, in response to the article “XOX, MasterCard in E-Wallet Talk?” published on Monday, said as of the date of the announcement, it had yet to enter into any form of agreement with MasterCard.

The article, quoting sources, had said the rollout of its ewallet service would start next month following the signing of an agreement between XOX and Mastercard.

In an exchange filing yesterday, XOX said it would make a Bursa Malaysia announcement should there be any definitive agreement between XOX and MasterCard.
