Nomura veterans to be joint COOs?


TOKYO: Japan’s Nomura Holdings Inc will appoint company veterans Toshio Morita and Kentaro Okuda as joint chief operating officers (COOs), the Nikkei business daily reported yesterday, cementing the pair as future leadership contenders. Morita, president of the domesticfo­cused Nomura Securities subsidiary, and Okuda, head of the Americas region, would begin their new roles on April 1 after current COO Tetsu Ozaki retires, said the Nikkei, without citing the source of its informatio­n.
