Beauty myths

-

WHEN I was growing up, my mother would constantly shower me with beauty advice, be it about hair, skincare routine or make-up. I couldn’t tell if she was worried I would end up looking like a hot mess, or if I was already one.

Kidding! I know my mother just wants the best for me.

I still remember her words: Always end your shower by rinsing your hair with cold water. Slap on some toothpaste when you see a pimple appearing on your face. Wash your face with ice cold water once a week to tighten pores.

Most of these rules have become so ingrained in my mind that I don’t even question them.

But how many of them are actually effective? I came across several articles online that you may find useful.
