This is something I’ve been told since young. According to experts, cutting hair does not make it grow faster because hair growth begins at the follicles on your scalp, not at the ends.

However, how you treat your hair can truly affect how it appears. For example, if you constantly trim your unhealthy split ends, hair will have less breakage, making it look thicker.
