» TO KILL OR NOT TO KILL?

-

Zulkefli Nordin: Chasing the boar out would have been sufficient. No need to shoot it dead!!!

Zann Hussin: Wild boars are aggressive, very unpredictable and have the ability to kill humans.

If it was in the jungle, it would be fine. The masjid, however, is in a neighbourhood full of people, which makes the risk of attack and injuries higher if the boar was left to wander off.

Sherynn Razak: Poor injured man, and poor boar. If the wild boar was only wandering there and did not charge or harm people, I think nobody would’ve shot it dead. They would’ve just called the Fire Department or, Perhilitan. Unfortunately, the boar was charging. That boar was scared but its reaction in self defence caused harm to other people and they had to take it down.

Jimmy Sapporo: Too many boars around villages. The Wildlife Department should allow them to be hunted without permit. It costs RM200 annually to obtain the permit now.
