KUALA LUMPUR: British defence, security and aerospace company BAE Systems Plc and CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) will ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to continue their partnership at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2018, which begins today.

“As we enter into a period of global uncertainty and with the prevalence of international cybercrime, DSA 2018 presents a great opportunity to continue to foster the relationships we have with our partners in Malaysia and across Asia,” said BAE Systems managing director for Southeast Asia John Brosnan in a statement recently.

“We are confident with the industrial outlook in Malaysia, and we believe the DSA 2018 is the best forum for us to showcase our capabilities in terms of aerospace engineering, cybersecurity and education, which are all achieved through local partnerships.”

BAE Systems will also renew its commitment to the Chevening Scholarship Programme.

The firm has sponsored more than 50 Malaysians since 2012 and is as one of the largest contributors to the programme.
