PM launches hospital, housing projects in Kedah
People will suffer as pact’s manifesto will not be fulfilled, says Najib
PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has reiterated that the clash of ideologies in the opposition pact will disrupt the government administration and put pressure on the economy and the people, if it comes to power.
Najib said this was evident when the top leader in the opposition group claimed in an interview with Singapore media that his coalition partners were “very socialistic”.
In fact, he said, this particular leader had also admitted that the pact was unable to fulfil all the promises in its manifesto.
“Before it starts, there is already a clash of ideologies. This will lead to clashes in policies, not uniting them, especially in government administration.
“The weaknesses in the opposition pact are not a small matter because they will cause disagreements.
“This is serious because the people will be the ones who will suffer.
“The people will lose out because the opposition manifesto will be left on paper and cannot be realised.”
The Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman said the people should ask themselves if the opposition failed to unite like BN, who could ensure them a better tomorrow.
Najib said this when launching the 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Scheme (PPA1M) Bukit Pinang in Kampung Padang Tembak here yesterday.
The PPA1M project involved three phases of mix housing schemes, with prices ranging from RM173,560 to RM355,360.
The first phase involves 183 units of double-storey terraced houses. The second phase comprises four 10-storey apartment blocks with 504 units, a twostorey community building with nine shoplots, cafeteria, kindergarten, multipurpose hall, library and surau.
The third phase will see the construction of 172 units of double-storey terraced houses.
