Facts, track record will win people over, says Sabah BN chief

SABAH Barisan Nasional candidates were told to go to the ground and win back the people’s mandate in the 14th General Election with facts and the coalition’s track record.

Sabah BN chief Tan Sri Musa Aman said with BN machinery and the candidates’ hard work, the people would see the coalition’s deeds in its years of service.

“I am confident with the facts and proof of what the coalition has done.

“The people of Sabah, including here in Libaran, will know how to evaluate and continue supporting the BN.

“I call BN leaders and candidates to continue working hard,” said Musa, who is defending his Sungai Sibuga state seat for the fifth consecutiv­e term.

The chief minister will face Osman Enting from Parti Kebangsaan Sabah (PKS) and Asmara Abdul Rahman from Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan).

He said this after Election Commission (EC) returning officer Faridah Giau announced the candidacie­s at the Dewan Sri Libaran nomination centre here.

For the Libaran parliament­ary seat, BN candidate Datuk Zakaria Edris, who was incumbent Gum-Gum state seat, will face off with Warisan’s Irwan Shah Mustapa and Alfian Mansyur from Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (Harapan Rakyat).

A five-cornered fight will take place at the Gum-Gum state seat involving BN candidate Datuk Juslie Ajirol, PKS candidate Joilin @ Christine Bugung, Dahil Masdik (Harapan Rakyat), Arnurasin Taib (Warisan) and Jamaludin Lamba from Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah.
