PERODUA INTRODUCES BEZZA GXTRA VARIANT, PRICED AT RM35,500

-

PERUSAHAAN Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) has introduced the new Bezza GXtra variant to replace the 1.0 Standard G variant with an introductory price from RM35,500, excluding insurance.

It was launched at the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 in Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Sedang (MAEPS), which was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“As the nations’s No. 1 automotive brand, Perodua is proud to unveil the new Bezza GXtra. It represents Perodua’s enduring dedication to our customers as it was conceived based on their feedback. Being a ‘people first’ company, Perodua is always listening to our customers’ needs and wants.

“We will never stop at finding ways to improve our products and services so that we can serve our customers better,” Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh said.

The entry-level Bezza GXtra features side skirts, chromed outside door handles and the Ocean Blue exterior colour, which was previously reserved for the 1.3 Bezza variants.

On the inside, the dashboard and panel surrounding the audio system with Bluetooth connectivity are finished in piano black trims.

The air vent surrounds, steering wheel spokes and gear lever base are satin-finished with chromed inside door handles.

“The Bezza GXtra represents the next step in the model’s lifespan. Providing a trim specification comparable to the 1.3 Premium X Bezza, we are offering more value for money within the Bezza range than ever before,” said Aminar.

The Bezza is Perodua’s first sedan, as well as Malaysia’s most affordable energy-efficient vehicle (EEV) sedan.

Since it hits the market in the mid2016, it has been the country’s best selling sedan, with nearly 100,000 units sold to date.

“The Bezza has struck a chord with young Malaysians families who appreciate its dependability, low-running cost, easy to drive and generous space,” Aminar said.

The new variant is powered by the 1.0-litre engine with variable valve timing — intelligent (VVT-i), mated to either a five-speed manual or a fourspeed electronically-controlled automatic transmission.

The manual transmission Bezza GXtra is priced at RM35,500, while the automatic transmission model is retailed at RM37,500. Both prices are excluding insurance and for registration in Peninsular Malaysia only.

It is covered by a five-year or 150,000km, which ever comes first warranty.

The Bezza GXtra is now open for booking, and available for viewing at Perodua showrooms on May 5 and 6 in conjunction with its Customer Day.
