ZAMBRY: PERAK BN DOES NOT BELIEVE IN HURLING INSULTS

State BN reaches out to the people, unlike the opposition

- SHAARANI ISMAIL

PERAK Barisan Nasional does not believe in using insults in politics and carries out its campaigns with dignity by reaching out to the rakyat.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said voters would be making a smart choice if they based their decision on the level of maturity of a party, one that reached out to the people instead of hurling insults at other parties.

“We do not practise such harsh politics — hurling insults or spreading lies — but one that is prudent, where we reach out to the voters.”

He was speaking after attending the launch of a drainage upgrading programme in Kampung Bahagia.

Present were state Infrastructure, Public Amenities, Energy and Water Committee chairman Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin and BN candidate for the Changkat Jong state seat, Datuk Mohamad Azhar Jamaluddin.

Zambry said, unlike the opposition, Perak BN was committed to reaching out to the people after winning the last general election.

“We know of some (opposition) characters who did not serve the people after being elected. Ask the people in these areas whether their elected representatives really worked for the rakyat.

“I think the people of Perak know who they are... there is even one who would change constituencies almost every time a general election comes around.

“He moves from one place to another like a nomad,” he said.

Zambry said the most important thing in politics was that each and every representative must give his best to help the people.
